Special Care Instructions
Easy to grow and trouble free. Blazing Stars are unusual in that they flower from the top of the flower spike down, not bottom up. So you can trim off the dead flowers at the top of the flower spike and keep the plants looking fresh.
Flowering Time
Early June through mid-July. Flowers have a long life on the plant or in a vase.

A native to Ohio, Blazing Star have dark green, grassy foliage and produce multiple spikes of rose-purple flowers in June. Although native to moist meadows, this plant adapts wonderfully to average, even dry, soils.
